Udhayanidhi ready to wait till Santhanam is free

Idhu kathirvelan kadhal is producer-distributor Udhayanidhi’s second film as a hero after he debuted as hero with last year’s super-successful Oru Kal Oru Kannadi.
After a clear thought of mind Udhayanidhi has zeroed on Nayanthara as his next heroine. Nayanthara and Udhayanidhi have started shooting for Idhu kathirvelan kadhal last month. The second schedule of the film is yet to get off the blocks, mainly due to the non-availability of Santhanam, the leading comedian in Kollywood in the current days.
The pair of Santhanam and Udhaya contributed largely to the success of Oru Kal Oru Kannadi and it was apparent that director Prabhakaran obviously wanted to cash in on the on-screen presence of them in Idhu kathirvelan kadhal as well. Though he has been signed up to star in the film, Santhanam is yet to shoot for a single day for the film, except for a single day’s photo-shoot.
And more over the film being on comical lines almost all sequences requires Santhanam’s presence, but he such a busy packed schedule that he is not able to allocate a lot for Idhu kathirvelan kadhal. Citing this issue the director is said to have suggested to Udhaya that it would be way easier to work around if they opt to cast Parotta Soori in place of Santhanam. But Udhaya was shocked at this suggestion and has informed the director that it won’t work out.
“I can’t manage the show on my own and it is Santhanam, who nullifies the mistakes I commit on screen. There is no way that I’m proceeding without Santhanam,” were Udhaya’s words which has made the director and the rest of the crew wait for Santhanam’s availability.
