Reports from Kollywood suggest that Vidya Balan, the national award-winning Bollywood actress, is in the reckoning to play superstar Rajinikanth’s heroine in his next film which would get underway in the second half of this year.

Despite getting married late last year to her long-time beau, Vidya Balan’s stature in Hindi films hasn’t waned a bit. In fact, she’s been flooded with offers to star in films so much so that she has reportedly decided to postpone her pregnancy. Rajini, who is ready to release the trailer of his upcoming animation 3-D film Kochadaiyaan at Cannes next month, is likely to release the film in theatres in June/July.

Though the story, director and the production house to make Rajini’s next film have been finalized, Rajini won’t be making a formal announcement about the film till Kochadaiyaan hits the screens. As of now, it is said that K.V.Anand would be the director of Rajini’s next film which is to be produced by Eros Entertainment. Vidya, who has recently been nominated as one of the juries to judge the films to be screened at Cannes, is likely to meet superstar Rajinikanth at the venue. During this meeting, Vidya’s casting in Rajini’s film might be finalized, it is further reported. No doubt the sizzling Vidya would be an ideal foil to the evergreen Rajini!
