Meera Jasmine, the national award-winning actress, is facing trouble back home in Mollywood. Meera, who was last spotted in Tamil screen in Mambattiyan opposite Prashanth, is playing the lead role opposite VTV Ganesh in his upcoming film Inga Enna Solludhu which has him playing the lead role in his home production. Heroine of successful ventures such as Run and Sandakozhi, Meera hasn’t been doing many films of late. She was, however, signed up to play Mammootty’s heroine in his upcoming film Gangster directed by Aashik. Her presence in the film has now come under a cloud following her absence at a musical evening organized by AMMA (equivalent of Nadigar Sangam in Mollywood). The event witnessed the presence of megastars Mammotty and Mohanlal among others. Meera, who didn’t bother taking part in the rehearsals, was expected to make it to the event but her late arrival to take part at the event at the event has irked AMMA officials who promptly sent her back, denying her the chance to dance at the event. Other artistes, who are also upset at Meera’s attitude, are hell-bent in ensuring that Meera is out of Mammootty’s Gangster. Aashik’s close friend Abilash Kumar has told the pressmen informally that Meera is almost out of Gangster and added that Aashik is presently concentrating in making Idukki Gold after which he would start work on the Mammootty-starrer apparently with a different heroine.
